Summary of the Lion of Judah Israel Annual Conference 2026
The 2026 Annual Conference of the Lion of Judah Israel Foundation took place at the Elma Hotel in Zichron Yaakov, with dozens of foundation members in attendance. This year’s program integrated social, cultural, and values-based content alongside networking and team-building activities.
The first day opened with the traditional Pin Ceremony to welcome the new members who recently joined the foundation’s ranks. Immediately following, a meeting was held with representatives of the “Latzidech” (By Your Side) project—an important initiative supporting the wives of wounded IDF reserve soldiers, which the foundation proudly co-sponsors. Later in the morning, a round-table workshop titled “Being an Israeli Woman” was held, facilitated by foundation member Michal Peleg Yerushalmi. Leading into lunch, the participants enjoyed a comedic interlude featuring a short, entertaining stand-up performance by foundation member Ofira Azrieli.
The second part of the day was dedicated to cultural and leisure programming. After check-in and a some rest, the members gathered for a guided tour of the hotel complex. They were then invited to the lecture “On the Honey and the Sting” (Al HaDvash VeAl HaOketz), which chronicles the life and work of iconic songwriter Naomi Shemer. The evening concluded with a group sing-along, dinner, and a surprising and humorous performance by mentalist Sharon Bagdadi, with full audience participation.
The second day of the conference was dedicated to touring the moshava of Zichron Yaakov. Foundation members began the morning with a guided tour of the Aaronson House (the Nili Museum), from which they continued to the competitive and experiential navigation game “Find the Place” (Hafes Et HaMakom) throughout the moshava. The conference concluded with a joint lunch at the Tishbi Winery.
